Joshua's Story
On March 2nd, our lives turned upside down when our nightmare began. Joshua, our healthy five-year-old son, woke up with intractable seizures. Our family was broken apart as he was
transferred to the American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison.
Now Joshua is on his way to a slow recovery as he faces the struggles of everyday tasks that we take for granted. Joshua now has to relearn how to sit up, walk, talk and eat to name a few; but continues to work hard as he is determined. Every day he touches our hearts, as we see a small part of Joshua regain some of his abilities and personality.
Our family continues to work hard to stay bonded through this long separation. During this time we had a new baby Emily and our son Joey had to grow up fast and become the “big” brother.
This nightmare has taught us that life is precious and we continue to hope and pray for a full recovery.
